The reception and awards presentation for 25th Annual Student Art Show sponsored by the Paulding Fine Arts Association was held Sunday, February 5th at the Fine Arts Gallery.  This year we had 102 participating young artists from through out the county.  Mrs. Williamson, who is the art teacher at Poole Elementary once again was the teacher with the most entries.  44 Total entries were from Poole, 23 other schools (including home and private school) participated.  The next highest school participation was Panter Elementary with 14 entries.  The best High School participation was from North Paulding with 7 students out of a total of 16 High School aged participants.  The Student Art Show is truly a labor of love for the many PFAA members who make it all happen.  Our judge this year was Mrs. Vanita Dauphinais, Director of the Mable House Cultural Art Center.  She said those who entered "were all winners for entering." and she congratulated the students on their outstanding talent.

So, without further ado, the 2012 Student Art Show place winners are:

6 years & Under:

1st:  Zoe Oosting, age 5 

2nd: Isabella Mauro, age 6 

3rd: Isabella Ramirez, age 5

HM: Mason Lyon, age 5

7 & 8 Year Olds:

1st: Riley Semper, age 8

2nd: Laila Perryman, age 8

3rd: Morgan Ragsdale, age 8

HM: Mary Willoughby, age 7 and Sara-Grace Loewen, age 7

9 & 10 Year Olds:

1st: Emily Miley, age 10

2nd: Rachel Bragg, age 10

3rd: Zane Haygood, age 10

HM: Cheyenne Moon, age 10 and Aidan Womack, age 10

11 & 12 Year Olds:

1st: Marisol Griffiths, age 11

2nd: Christian A. Mitchell, age 11

3rd: Madison Russell, age 11

HM: Mahi Patel, age 11 & Ciara Biggins, age 12

13 & 14 Year Olds:

1st: Sydney Bechtel, age 13

2nd: Kyle Nottage, age 13

3rd: Kendra Chaney, age 14

15 & 16 Year Olds:

The Student Show will be on display through the end of February at the Fine Arts Gallery located in the Dallas Civic Center.
