Student Competition

Every year, we host a Student Art Show for Paulding county residents under age 18 in 7 different age categories. Students may enter one entry with a $2 entry fee. A judge from out of the county with an art background is chosen each year. Each student receives a certificate and award money is given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category. The public is invited to attend the Awards Ceremony Reception and the artwork is on display for a whole month. All are considered winners in our eyes for entering and it gives them good experience to see what it is like to have their artwork on display at a real Art Gallery. The 2011 Student Art Show drew 188 entrants - our largest participation ever!

NOTE: The 2013 Student Competion will be held the first weekend in MARCH. Previous Student Competitions were always held in February, however we have changed to March to coincide with Youth Art Month.

2013 Student Competition Dates:
March 2, 2013 - Drop off Student artwork from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Dallas Civic Center Gallery

March 9, 2013 - Paulding County Art Day
Dallas Theatre and Dallas Civic Center Gallery events - 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Historic Courthouse Gallery and Studios events - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

March 10, 2013 - Student Art Show Reception - 2:00 - 4:00 pm
(Award Presentation at 3:00 pm)
3-D artwork must be taken home after the Reception on this day.

April 6, 2013 - Pick up 2-D Student Artwork - 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
