Peggy Cline

I have always loved art and was fortunate to have many wonderful art teachers encourage me. I went to UGA and got my BFA Art degree in fabric design. For 7 1/2 years in the 1980s, I worked in advertising and graphic design for BDA/BBDO in Atlanta working on Delta Air Lines, Alamo Rent-A-Car and other client's advertising. I decided to switch careers after having two children. I went to GA State and got my Art Education degree and had fun taking more art classes.

I have been teaching art since 1990 (27 years) I taught art in the Fayette, Cobb and Paulding county public schools, ASP program in Paulding and Cobb, Home School groups, Art centers, Museums and Art Fest days. I worked at the Booth Western Art Museum for ten years in the Education department giving school tours and teaching art classes at the Booth Art Academy (Summer camps, Girl Scout and Home school programs, and pottery, drawing and mixed media classes) and taught art in their Community Outreach program with the Cartersville Boys and Girls Club and Hands of Christ After School program. I am still a docent giving tours and teach summer art camps at the Booth Museum.

Since 2012, I have taught a mixed media children's class at the Historic Courthouse Gallery and Studios. I help coordinate our annual PFAA Student Art Competition, help with the PFAA Fall Fest Entertainment, am the webmaster for our PFAA website, PFAA Art class and group coordinator and am the current secretary of PFAA.

I live on a small farm and keep busy with our animals, enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, and doing my own artwork. I also teach art classes at my home studio and do Scout programs at our farm. For my own artwork, I like to work with clay, yarn, paint, pencils, camera and mixed media.
