PFAA in the Historic Courthouse
PFAA has aquired the 2nd floor of the old Courthouse in downtown Dallas. Many THANKS to all that have helped clean and paint. This has taken many weeks. We still have a lot to prepare, but are very excited to have this extra space to promote the Fine Arts in Paulding County.
We are having a contest to design a logo for this space.  We haven't come up with the exact name yet (so if you have an idea, incorporate it into your logo desgin) - the space will be gallery and studio space and we're thinking words like Historic, Courthouse, Art District, Gallery and Studios might possibly find their way into the name.  So put on your thinking caps and send your entries to the PFAA Board - Leslie Grant, Tim Hammons, Faye McLain, Evelyn Reynoso, Julie Barfield, David Kelly (David doesn't have e-mail) and Joyce Walraven and Jane Hricz.

Monthly Art Night at Chicken World Restaurant
Saturday, March 3, 2012 was the first of what we hope to be a long association with Chicken World, Baby! Since Hiram Coffee House closed in 2011 we've been looking for a home for our first Saturday Art Nights. Julie Barfield has found a wonderful meeting place for us for this event at the Chicken World Restaurant in Dallas in the Seaboard Business Center just off 278. Customers of Chicken World can enjoy the beautiful mosaic work of Mother-Daughter team Virginia Moore and Julie Barfield during the month of March. Virginia (Mom) is currently a full time student at Kennesaw State University, pursuing an art education degree while daughter, Julie works just down from Chicken World with her WC Home Improvment and Stained Glass business. Wonderful Don Maier Watercolor Demonstration at our March Meeting

Don Maier did a wonderful watercolor demonstration at our March 22,2011 Meeting. He showed us a watercolor that he painted in Florida on Captiva Island, then showed us step by step how he painted it. Then he showed us a video of many of his beautiful watercolors. He is very talented. You can find his work at Gallery 4463. This is just one of the many demonstrations we have at our monthly meetings. Join PFAA and participate in more of the upcoming events and demonstrations.
