Spring 2017 Annual Competition Winners

The Paulding Fine Arts Annual Competion is in spring each year. Entrants must be 18 years or older. Cash awards are given in each of the five categories: Oil and Acrylic; Watercolor and Tempera; Drawing – pen & ink, charcoal, pastel, graphite and colored pencil; Dimensional – pottery/ceramic, stained glass, etc.; Photography. No work may be entered that has previously been shown at the Paulding Fine Arts Gallery.

Annual Spring Competition Winners 2017

Paulding Fine Arts Association held the Reception and Awards Presentation for the 27th Annual Spring Competition on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in the Courtroom Gallery of the Historic Courthouse Gallery & Studios. 

This year's Competition was judged by artist Alice Searcy of Carrollton.  Ms. Searcy completed classes at West Georgia toward her BFA in Art, receiving the Gloria Covert Memorial Scholarship. She continued her studies through workshops and has participated in numerous juried art festivals and shows in Georgia. Working primarily in oils, Alice is a member of the Carrollton Artist Guild. Her art is currently showing at Madison Market in Madison, Ga.  Ms. Searcy had quite a challenge before her selecting the place winners in 5 art categories containing a total of 80 works.
